I know we’ve said it before, but this time we’re serious: we’re going to start updating this blog regularly.
No, really, stop laughing. We realise that we’ve not been very good (OK, we’ve been pretty rubbish) at keeping everyone in the loop about what’s been going on and what we’re working on here at Beatnik, but we’re going to try to change all of that. So check back here regularly (or add us to your feed reader or whatever it is the cool kids use these days) for posts about us, games we’re working on, games we’re playing, and even what we ate for breakfast (OK, maybe not that one). This also seems like a good time to mention our twitter feed @BeatnikGames and also our facebook page. Come talk to us, we like hearing from you!
So, what have we been up to recently? Our PlayStation Mobile game Samurai Beatdown came out at the beginning of October – it’s a ‘rhythm-action slash-em-up’ for PlayStation Vita and assorted Android devices. If you missed the original posts you can find all the important information here, along with screenshots, trailers, soundtracks, and even wallpapers. Last week we did an interview with PS3 Attitude, and shared some of our impressions of PlayStation Mobile as a platform, and also details of some updates we’re currently working on.
In other news, we’ve been doing a lot of brainstorming for new games – some great ideas, some…. not so great. But that’s how the process works! We’re now prototyping a few, so I’ll leave you with a sneak preview of some super secret artwork from one of them.
