Hey Y’all
Hello all, Chief here…
I often attempt to get a word in edgeways, constantly being amazed by the wit and banter of my fellow Beatnikers, however, I am inspired to add to the ever increasing Beatnik blog read by so many millions of you out there…
It’s been a fierce nine months. Plain Sight development is advancing rapidly, with work on the increase, resulting in the guys looking like they want to shoot themselves on occasion!
As time races on, the game is continuing to become more and more of an unparalleled masterpiece (unbiased as I am!)…
The guys are ever pushing the boundaries of what defines a game worthy of the title of truly awesome, and as a team we are moving towards release date, and there’s not one of us who isn’t giving their all.
Anyway, check in soon for the next instalment from the Beatnik nerve centre….
Damien
Open Beta #2 - it’s a date…..
Is it a beta, or is it a gamma? We dont know, but we thought we'd give the regular blog readers a heads up regarding when it's happening.
Next
(EDIT: LOL!)
(EDIT #2: forum bug fixed, new screenshots on the sidebar and media section, also stripped back and upgraded plainsight website/database,all community stuff is now in the forums, company website down- will be back up tomorrow)
More details on Monday
concept work
I’m one of the artists and my role is the character creation and animation.
We’ve gone through a lot of changes on the art side since January; here are some of the many quick fire designs Alex Best (our previous artist) and I threw at the bosses (with some despair).
It was hard to reach the final design. We’d settle with one –then, a few days later, have to change it.
This happened again and again due to IP to technical problems and aesthetic looks.

Introductions
Due to a distinct sense of blog-apathy in the office, it’s down to me to write the first post.
Development of Plain Sight is on its eighth month and (in-between coffee, tea, water and foosball breaks) continues at a furious pace. We will, very very soon, have lots of eye-candy for you to slobber over.
In the meantime, let me introduce the Beatnik Games staff:
Anyway, that’s us and we’re making a computer game.
More to follow....
Robin
PS: everyone should check out 16x16’s new game Rescue the Begal . It’s fantastic.
