Hello. I am Sarky. I am Irish, and I like robots, ninjas, top hats and explosions. Obviously a game combining the lot of those got my interest, and here I am. Thanks for making Plain Sight, it’s daft and chaotic. And hot damn, those ninja robots are cute, I want one!
You might have seen me post once or twice around the forums already, I’m Fingolas aka FragFrog (my usual name - it was taken for some reason?), got PlainSight from a friend. As can be expected, through the 4-pack sale
Very much like the unusual mechanics of this game, it’s a real breath of fresh air for once, not to mention it has exploding robots - what more could one want?
I guess I’ll introduce myself since you asked so nicely in the title of this thread.
Hey, I’m A Noobcake, your average player. I’ve been playing this game since yesterday, and I have to say this is the most genuine FUN I’ve had in a game for quite some time. Expect some newbie questions from me in the near future (I can’t figure out the damn chat).
Since you demanded it, I’m Insectecutor, a programmer from Blighty. Steam says I’ve played Plain Sight for 11 hours. I’ve been out of online PC games for a while and when Plain Sight came along I loved the aesthetic and the premise so jumped into it. It’s really nice to play an original online game that offers the twitch gameplay I’m used to from stuff like UT99 and this new risk/reward/banking mechanic that I can only compare to The Weakest Link.
I’ll offer one tip I’ve discovered while playing. I only play deathmatch so this may be irrelevant in other modes: don’t waste your energy on the Warning perk. It’s deathmatch, you should always act as if someone is targeting you and most of the time they are. You don’t need a warning. Spend your energy on perks that allow you more manoeuvrability (like jump or recovery) instead.
Morning all. I’m Labratt, I’ve clocked up about 16 hours so far since buying the game in the Steam sale (which makes me feel bad - not often I buy a game that feels worth so much more than I paid).
A lot of the regular DM players here have probably killed me already, but I’m getting better…
Hello, I bought the 4 pack today, gave it to my girlfriend, a friend of hers and a friend of mine. We’re trying to enjoy ganging up on a swarm of bots but the game keeps us fighting against each other =/ Oh well, the games fun anyway.
I’m a french girly newbie in this community of bright robots.
I learn to enjoy independant games with fresh ideas so I bought Plain Sight when it was cheap on steam… and I enjoy myself ^^
It was a bit tricky at the beginning (hard to understand how to register/login also) but it worth it !
I will try to stay focused on the improvments about the game (and the company Beatnik).
Just bought Plain Sight on steam and I love it! I love other steam games, suck as TF2 (who doesn’t), and Portal (Wh00t!). Nice to be part of the community, and hope we all get along…
As you can see by my name over there to the left somewhere, I go by Qowface around here. And yes, I’m another one who just got the game from that Steam bundle when it was on sale. Great game. Still not all that great compared to all the veterans I seem to end up in skirmishes with (those tend to last about 0.42 seconds before I’m suddenly all chopped up and stuff). Working on getting better.
As far as other games go, I play a lot of TF2 (as well as other Valve/Source Engine games, but mostly TF2) and Minecraft. Gotta love Steam for its copious amount of cheap but great games.
Hey yall,
I am pigpenguin :D. I picked up the game because well, suicidal robot ninjas in space sounded to good to pass up :P. Any way see you all round the forums and out on the battle field/space :D
