Yeah VB is great, unfortunately it cant be tied in properly with any other content management system ... so it only works as a ‘stand alone’ forum

EE is awesome because all blogs/forums/ comments etc are tied together. Also, we’ll be having in-game stuff linked in.. which will be be pretty ace

I know this is too late, but IPB does an awesome job, much better than this. Example can be found here, and if this hand-typed hyperlink doesn’t work then that needs fixing too.

Also, why the hell is “Notify me via email when someone posts in this thread” checked on by default? I didn’t even find an option to turn it off in settings!

Edit: yay, normal phpBB linking works! :D
However line spacing seems to be broken as well. I can’t make paragraphs, very important for large posts.

Edit: Oh, nevermind, line spacing does work, but a blank line is very very short and nearly unnoticable. :(

At the moment the site is very rough and buggy - I’ll be smoothing out the kinks during the week

I haven’t encountered any serious problems, except the time i wanted to get used to the different setting/icons etc. But after the first day, it already seems more friendly to me…

Also, please notice this thread as well.

At this moment, the redirecting from the game’s site doesn’t work.
Btw, the site and the comments look kinda weird, but i suppose they’re under maintenance…

Not that it’s bad that you fixed the link, but I think he meant the bookmark. http://forums.beatnikgames.co.uk Could this be made to work?

subdomains shouldnt be too hard to sort out - will do it when I get into the office tomorrow !

(there’re also some cookie/caching issues with cross-site logging-in… will try and fix that tomorrow also)

Apparently if you see that you’re not logged in, and then go to any other page, you’ll ‘suddenly’ be logged in again.

I really don’t see why you needed the sites linked together. I’ll definitely love it, though, if my Plain Sight game data would be linked with my forum user >:D

Oh. Awesome. Well the weird things are:
1. WHY HAVEN’T YOU MENTIONED THIS IN THE FIRST PLACE *hates Robin forever*
2. The Plain Sight site is most plain. (yes, I had to make that pun) What I really meant is, it seems to be least integraded with EE.
3. Your avatar is no longer what it used to be. I hate you.

Hm, do private messages work in this new engine yet?
