I like the game’s maps, but ever since I bought Plain Sight i’ve been thinking up new maps, variations of existing ones, and ports from other games. I’m sure that Plain Sight would be a lot more interesting if you had a broader selection of maps to play on.

They’re already making a map editor, but for now just be happy with what’s already there and let them fix bugs.

BTW I would love a map editor, just give the some time.

When the Map Editor is released it’s going to be sweet. For now it would help add variation if they simply added 2-3 (simple quick and easy) levels that forced players hands into different styles of play. One example: a level that consists mostly of tunnels so that jumping around is a disadvantage. Just because that would throw off the current “Jump to win Run and die” mentality. Just something to change things up a bit.

personally im betting the map editor already exists and its just being tweaked so its more user friendly.
I cringe at the thought of scripting each level manually.

it’s going to happen, but it’s not going to be a stand-alone tool. map importing is going to be a bit old school, as in, you’ll need to use something like Blender smile

Im excited to make levels - I wonder if I can make one for my final in digital arts! Not to mention the kind of levels other players will make! There are so many everyday things that would make good levels - I can’t wait to see what comes out smile

Yeah, I was thinking about a lighten up level that had only one object you could tag, turning it into a king of the hill- style game where you would have to defend one point on the map instead of constantly traveling all over the place.

Wouldn’t it be hard to make 3-d levels?

Unless of course they had premade parts you just fit together…

I would make a better animated avatar but they can’t be more than 50KB….

I would really like something like Valves Hammer tool, for map making in Source Games. I find it pretty simple… I’ve never tried Blender though…

Valve’s hammer tool would be great! Though a lot of people I ask get confused by it so maybe they could make 2 ways? Premade parts and something like the hammer tool.

yeah, i was thinking of something like hammer, or making hammer compatable with Plain Sight, if it’s possible. I’m no good at coding of any kind, so i don’t know.
