Zero players online?

Read about Plain Sight on Gamespot.  Went to Steam to purchase.  Did the tutorial.  Then clicked on “join game”.  As far as I can see there is not a single player online?

Is this common.  As a multi-player game, kind of feels like I might have wasted my $10 if there are zero players.

I have version 1.0.1.6 that came from Steam.  The scroll on the bottom of the game says 1.0.1.5 is a new update - I assume this is out of date?  Another indication of a non-active game platform?

I’m based in the U.S. like many Steam players.  There wasn’t a U.S. flag available at startup so I selected U.K.

Am I missing something?  Are people playing this game and I can’t see them for some reason?

Help!

Also, I clicked on “leaderboards” to see if there were a high number of registered players and it just says “looking for entries…” am I having some connection issue perhaps?

I was able to create a game - but no one came in after 10 minutes so I gave up.

I can see the list of games but they all have 0 players in them…

If you can see a load of empty servers you are not having any connection problems. There aren’t a lot of people playing plain sight at the moment. We expect more people will play in the near future (we’re working on a big patch to try and draw people back).

Today I decided to get inside the game, enter a random server and just stay there all day hoping someone would come.
Then I opened the Steam overlay, opened the web browser and intended to post about that.

The computer froze.
Now I just don’t feel like it.

Yeah… Playing a good multiplayer game isn’t much fun without the players, heh.

It somewhat needs something to progress in. Something like a ranking or anything. It somehow makes games more addicting if you can achieve something. Something everyone can see ingame, too.

How will one bit change anything? More importantly, how hard can it be to make an update of one bit?
