timing wise, prolly when the big patch comes out in a month with persistant perks (and a a bunch of other features) ... get em hooked

steam has a feature where you can send trail periods to friends. I’ve successfully got friends to buy a number of games using this.

I don’t know if it’s possible to give people who bought Plain Sight in the past the ability to give away trial periods.

But it might be

I’ll be jibbing all of my gaming buddies into buying this. We all regularly play games that we’ve forked out for (LoL, TF2, BF:BC2, etc), and love having some small, awesome indie games that we can enjoy when we get frustrated with other stuff. $10 is a bargain, so hopefully I can get at least a few of them to open their meager wallets *shakes fist*

The whole 80% sale on Steam seems to be doing a good job for you guys.

Why not purchase targeted advertising on facebook?  League of Legends (Riot Games) hooked me with its “Free to play DoTA-style game” tagline.  “Suicidal Ninja Robot Deathmatch” would likely have piqued my interest as well.

Steam sale was off the hook.

You should post on http://indiedb.com . There are definitely people, who are ready to buy this game, just don’t know about it yet.

Yeah that Steam sale is what got me playing. My friend bought a four pack and just started passing them out. I bought two copies to give away myself. I lead a small gaming community and we just got a dedicated server for this game so I’m promoting like crazy over here.

Steam sale is really a good way to promote the game . it is cheap , fast and reliable .
