After months of work, version 1.2 of Plain Sight has gone (rather quietly) live. We’re keeping all our fingers and toes crossed that this’ll be a totally bug-free affair, however, as with all these things in game development, there might be a few slight hiccups along the way.

If you encounter any mischief, please report it in our wonderful forum machine.

So, what’s new? Well, the biggest change we’ve made to the game is adding a persistent power-up system. Now, rather than being randomly awarded with a power-up upon collecting a star, you must collect stars to buy power-ups; once purchased you can pick up to three before each game. You can activate your equipped power-ups whenever you like, but each power-up has a different cool-down period once it’s been used.

  On paper the new system looks fair, however only though your feedback can we get this perfect. Again, head to the forum vortex.

So, the list of power-ups is now as follows:
- Vacuum Bomb

  - Decoy Gentleman Robot

  - Perk Free Zone

  - Lock Breaker

  - Bing Bang

  - Invulnerable Shield

  - Flaming Sword

  - Ninja Stealth

  - Chain Detonation

In unrelated news, we’re flattered that those scurvy internet pirates have felt us worthy of their time. Currently doing the rounds is an out of date, LAN only version of Plain Sight. We’ve downloaded it and it works, so I guess if you’re too cheap to spend $10 you can play all alone offline. Well credit where credit is due, it works. Which is far more commendable than this laughably awful effort:
(Seriously guys, a keygen for a multiplayer online game? C’mon… you have to try a bit harder than that.  Also, why are you hiding the serial numbers you generate? Weird!!)

I have run plain sight and I have to say what the hell?! This patch didn’t fix any of the problems with the game pads, I still can’t do barely anything at all with my controller which was my only complaint because I couldn’t play the game!

I’m sorry if I’m too angry but the main reason I don’t play is a bug hasn’t been patched since the release of the game and it’s extremely infuriating.

I’m afraid only a tiny percentage of play with a gamepad so it’s not at the top of our list of things to fix. We hope to get around to it soon though!

Not logged in lately? At least two pages of well populated games.

I posted that a few minutes before the sale and when I logged (which was a little while after the patch) no one was online

EDIT: oh yeah, your right, there are like 2 pages of populated servers, I don’t know how long it will last but there are people

I still don’t know how not being able to play the game fully (even if I am in the minority) isn’t very important

i find it funny, that there is all this talk of piracy, and i can’t even play this game because of the authentication servers being down (ie: because of DRM)

Yeah fail crackers. I think they’re hiding cd-keys because it’s dont working :D if it would work they would show it. BTW, if you talk to valve, and ask umm.. one new achievment or something, that players who did that achievment gets a hat in tf2 or if someone purchases plain sight, gets hat in tf2.

BTW, where’s the hats? on steam page i saw “spotlight” midweek madness plain sight. there was written that plain sight is 80% off and there is 100%  more hats. what kind of hats?
