Your explosion is only as big as the amount of energy you’re carrying. Based on first-hand experience (at least as far as I can tell) the explosions of those caught in your detonation aren’t near the same size or based on how many stars they’re carrying. However it’s rather comical if you can get half the players in a 20 person match to chase you and each other in a nice line and watch as they collide into the chain of resulting detonations stemming from the original.
While I haven’t yet attempted to crank my own game to maximum banked energy with 20 bots and going nova, I suspect that there’s a set limit to the actual radius of even the most maximum detonation to prevent a level-wide explosion. Even as cool as that might look, I can’t imagine anyone actually reaching a full tank and detonating successfully to prove it without the full cooperation of all players in the game playing their role to capture the result.
